Lind Moor
Nature Recovery
About
Us
Lind Moor owns, creates and manages land to help nature thrive.
We provide off site biodiversity units that allow developers to replace and improve habitats lost to development.
Each site is protected and cared for over the long term, ensuring it delivers real benefits for wildlife and the surrounding landscape.
What is BNG?
(Biodiversity Net Gain)

Is BNG a legal requirement for planning applications?
Yes, since 2024, MOST developments must achieve a 10% Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) to gain planning permission. BNG ensures projects protect and enhance habitats, leaving nature in a better state. It puts nature recovery at the heart of development, supporting the UK’s Nature Recovery Strategy.

How does BNG Works?
BNG follows a clear hierarchy: avoid damage, minimise impacts, deliver gains on-site, and use off-site compensation if needed. This ensures developments leave nature in a better state and support national biodiversity goals.

Off Site Solutions
Many sites cannot achieve BNG on-site. Lind Moor provides off-site units, offering a simple, cost-effective way for developers to meet obligations while supporting high-quality, lasting habitats.

Why Choose
Lind Moor?
Legally protected, monitored units backed by a conservation covenant.
At Lindmoor Ltd, we provide verified biodiversity units secured through a legally binding conservation covenant with RSK Biocensus, a DEFRA Appointed Responsible Body. Each unit is backed by long-term ecological monitoring, management, and robust legal protection. Our gain site, in the nationally significant Somerset Levels and Moors, supports Habitat, Watercourse, and Hedgerow units that deliver measurable, strategic biodiversity benefits. For developers and local authorities, purchasing units is a straightforward, compliant solution to meet legal BNG obligations, saving time and reducing risk while supporting high-quality, long-lasting habitats.
